Alone in the Music . . .

"Automat" by Edward Hopper

****************************

From relaxing casual, to jazzy/ bluesy rock, or wistfully classical . . . This electronic music, especially that expressive guitar,  made my rainy day a delightful one.

****************************

This artist always posts such beautiful music, commanding, talented and articulate . .. A piano quietly comments, gently and with atmospheric sounds . . .  the vocals and other instruments dream and expound in their special ways to add to each brush stroke, each colorful nuance as the music progresses. These compositions are like classical paintings . . . always so much to note and so emotional, full of life and color  . . . with beauty rampant. . . It is important to note that though Julien Boulier publishes so much music, he puts great care and creativity into each unique piece.

************************************************

Wonderful sounds . . . sometimes experimental and interesting; wild or calming; expressive and unique .. .  but always a really wonderful listen.  I especially love the acoustic guitar, as in the last track, with its mellow voice and peaceful jazzy melody . . .

************************************************

I was happy as I listened to these piano pieces . . . so sublime and whimsical . ..  with delightful images and heart touching fervor and sentiment . . . they found a place in my permanent piano collection . . .

******************************

As I listened to this long artistic soft rock piece .. .. the clouds began to part and a few golden rays touched my environment and warmed my spaces . . . but the music feels exotic and mysterious, dark and quiet . . . a dreamy pace with visions of quiet rain touching the flesh and flowing into the sea . . . This was beautiful and made me want to listen to more from this musician.

*******************************

Popping and upbeat . . . this music got right to the heart of the matter . . . dance through your rainy days . . . dance through the dark . . . and give voice to the joys of the rain as it beats to the tempo  . . .

Space . . .

When we finally leave this solar system . . . and reach for the stars . . . will we dance with them, like we dance in our dreams? Will they welcome us into their midst and teach us to fly?

******************

Drone for the peaceful nights  . . . meditate in the dark skies . . .
find yourself lost in space as your ship sails on and on. . .

*******************

As chill as deep space is . . .
the light sparkles and shines brighter . . .
and beckons the hopeful . . .
the adventurer moves slowly and gracefully
through the ambience of celestial places . . .
and the heaviness and
weariness of gravity . . . is lifted . . .

Electronic music with vision and dreams . . .
I find the energy to fly forever . .

*******************

champagne and jazz . . . we celebrate
the unknown . . . and beyond the white clouds
that cling to an arching sky
our hearts are lifted . . . like wafted souls
wandering lightlingly with buoyant pleasures
floating on an endless sea of stars . . .
touching them with wraithlike fingers . . .
we innocently heap our burning coals
upon the heads of countless rockets . . .

This music is captivating . ..  a style of jazz that feels warm
yet distant . . . like memories on errant breezes . . . and moments of reggae
breaking out . .  such as star-shine through shadowy summer trees . .
 . . carrying a beat that flutters like a heartbeat of a bird against a summer shower . . .
or chilly . . . as a refreshing breeze stroking the forehead
of the listener . . .  I enjoyed every one of these pieces . . . very much!

*******************

Make what you would of our last steps on this earth. . .
they are imprinted on our collective heart . .
the space between the first step and the last is eternal . . .
each one of us doing our part . . .
running on the heels of adventure and drama
we find ourselves with wings
that lift and find the air streaming like fluid
a strength is given along that flow
we rise and find ourselves aloft . . .

These pieces have more sentiment and emotion than one
would expect of a bear . . ..  beautifully and creatively done.
I was especially amazed by the jazzy baroque piece . . . wow!
Music with drama and vision . . . definitely worth a listen . . .

******************

Loved this energetic album . . . an electronic/rock style that got me moving
and gave me the impetus to run a little longer, this morning, during my jog . . .

The Sun Began to Rise . . .

Video maker: Dan Toul
Musician: Chris Bay

*************************************************

Catchy . . . with a sweet captivating voice . . . a young man dreams and falls in love .. . . a summer goes by and he has written and produced a lovely album . . .

***************************************************

Compelling and beautiful. This music speaks of mornings . ..  quiet and peaceful and yet gathering energy as the sun rises and the eyes sparkle with light.  The third track, "A New Day," was especially uplifting . .  with that special clear coolness which early morning imparts . . giving a unique oneness with the world and all that is in it . . . These pieces are exquisite . .

*******************************************

And here we return to dreams . . . because watching the sunrise is a perfect time to dream  . . . These electronic pieces have the ideal energy to provide the backdrop to your inner vision.

*******************************************

We can float through space .  . looking for another star . . . those dreams scattered
like diamonds on black velvet before our eyes . . . but we are always looking back to find home . . that little yellow star, warm and inviting on the wheel of a familiar galaxy. . .
This sublime, electronic music takes us on a trip through the Universe in search of peace . . . hope and fantasy . . . where we find it within ourselves . . These electronic tunes are each unique and find a place as background music to daily activities . .  soothing yet upbeat . . .  bright and flowing . . .

********************************************

Time for coffee . . . and waking up. I love these jazzy, funky tunes by Tom La Meche . . . The second track having great percussion and a sense of mystery that compels the listener to find a hidden meaning. "Yann Green" has that jazziness turn to rock feeling that gives thekick to the last laziness of early morning . . gets your day going!

Amongst the Angels . . .

*****************************************************

Long ago, well, maybe only about seven years ago . . . I was looking for music to play in my classroom . . . mellow music, but not sleepy stuff  (and free because I'm a poor teacher) .. . . Somehow I stumbled over this album (below) on an Internet site being used as an attention draw to a game, an advertising ploy  . . .

I was mesmerized by the music and traced the album back to Jamendo . . . And there I discovered a treasure trove of music . .  endless music . . lots of really good stuff and lots of really bad stuff. I made friends there . ..  got involved, and good or bad . . . stayed in love with Jamendo . . . not because of the site, so much, as the music . . . like crystal spring water keeps pouring into a deep well and filling a bucket to quench a raw thirst, new music compositions always appear.

These sounds are alternative discourses, creatively delved from an artistic source, deep in the human psyche . . . put together, like any art, as a way to express the soul's utterances.  .  . the sound of music  is the energy of the heavens . . . given to us as a balm to soothe the scar of the human condition.

I wish I could make music . . . I am not so gifted; yet I can enjoy good music and appreciate the artists' gifts to us . . . and the music does something to my heart . ..  because I believe that I have been set down amongst the angels . . . and the melody of the angels is divine.

*****************************************************

Here-in awaits the life of a piano . . . great pieces, inspired and inspiring . .. improvisational and artistic . . .  lots and lots of piano music to feed your muse, your dreams and visions. . . from the dramatic to the sublime . . . from celestial to . . . interesting . . . something for every taste.

****************************************************

And what do you know . . . more piano music. . .
and acoustic guitar. . . synthesizer . . . electric!
These tunes are especially lovely . . .
Listening makes me feel as if I were relaxing
by the side of an isolated lake . . the breezes, cool and refreshing . . .
the water ripples, sparkles, and flashes silver and gold beneath a charming sun
and the purple mountains in the distance
wait breathlessly as the music plays . .
My heart is mesmerized by the melodies
and the lights of the lake dance in my soul  .  .
and even the birds in the trees quietly absorb the music

*****************************************************

So . .  let's kick it up a notch . . . electronic stuff, unique sounds, percussive adventures to dance by . . . energetic sounds to get you moving . ..  smiling . . .  beats that
won't let you down . .  go for it . . .

****************************************************

Some magic, here, that flows through the ether . . . filling my
environment with soft sound . . . like clouds in space . . . and rich percussion,
where stars do grace the hands of the gods as they reach towards the
listener. . . caressing the listener's heart and deploying peace . . . as
we float through space . . . dark mysteries . . . tranquil visions . . .

****************************************************

Uplifting and joyful progressive rock . . . or deeply dramatic
melancholic depths with strings that whirled and dreams that wandered . . .
 . . .  I felt there was a story here . . . something
to divert us from the everyday  . . . perhaps help us understand the pathway
before us . . . a marvelous electric guitar. . . becomes
an impressive guide down this road . .   This is a surprisingly
good album . . .  let it's voice speak for itself . . . and listen . . .

Memories . . .

Paris Memories by Rod Chase

***************************************************
Someday, I'll go back to Paris . . .
In the meantime, I find music on Jamendo . .
which I love to share with you!

********************************

Like distant memories and dreams
of our long ago mothers and fathers . .
the world was covered in strange dangers,
needing to be appeased, and the sky itself
where the gods abide . . . the wind must blow,
to give song to the trees and grasses
and the gods would listen and the people would dance . . .
where the sparks of the fire
reaching into the heavens
like incense . . .
let the stars grow . . . reflecting
the beasts of the field
and the fruit of the trees . . .
music most fulfilling . . .

*************************************************

Powerful . .  the drums captured my feet and energies . . .
Nice long electronic pieces   .  . . psychotic in nature
Here I find a door . .  with an incessant knocking . ..  a slow
opening . . . a dark wind blows as if through the hallways
of a cave . . . beware . . . dimensions are different here!

**************************************************

Ambient and atmospheric as the listener hears the chatter
of a baby and other charming events in the background as the pianists
thoughtfully expounds on his instrument . . . Delightful
and delicious . . . a poetically lovely experience. . .  relaxing and beautiful!

***************************************************

With a kiss of jazziness . . . this music enters your heart with
a warm touch and puts a smile on your face with it's bright and
sparkly, exuberant personality.

****************************************************

Hot and racy . . . this Spanish flavored guitar gives the
impetus to dance and smile . . . Loved it!

***************************************************

The title to this album was so intriguing that I could not help but sample it . .
and this is what I heard . . . Energy with a capital "E"!  Electronic music
with a trancelike feeling . . great vibes and good feelings . . . let your hair down
and . . . dance!

***************************************************

Eclectic and vibrant!  The music felt like a trip around the world, a rip in the fabric of time . . . something like water filling in all the nooks and crevices . . .  music so full of life and loaded with creativity, emotion and dreams . . . Beautifully done!

Dreaming in the Sunshine . . .

************************************************************************

Going back through Jamendo . . . Looking for good stuff which I might have missed . . . I found a few things to share . . . Some easylistening, chill, classical, experimental . . . stuff I like and I hope you do to. Some of these artists are familiar to me and a couple are new.  So let's check them out:

*************************************************

Arnoldsrecords is an old favorite of mine.  He puts so much thought, energy and creativity into his compositions that the listener is constantly aroused . . . listening with attention, and fascinated by the images generated through this dynamic music.  It is well worth your time to go to his music pages and listen . . . 'tis the gift and passion of creativity which shines forth from this album.

*****************************************

Peter Kind is another dear favorite of mine.  He DID name a song  Wolfsong, which had one of the nicest melodies I've ever heard.  This album has his vocals carried up by his beautiful piano and instrumental melodies.  Peter's music is so rich with emotion and sentimentality . ..  one doesn't need to know the language to have tears in their eyes or understand the lyrics to recognize the human spirit and heart behind the composition.  Music most beautiful!

******************************************

Got some great chilly, jazzy, easylistening stuff on this album . ..  nice music to play for dinner or an evening of relaxation.  I enjoyed this album and found each piece to have its own personality and perspective . ..

*******************************************

Alicia Sevilla has two albums on Jamendo . . . both are exceptional works of creative art . . . relying on the piano, framed via percussion, wind, string, or other vibrant instruments. I find her work fascinating, dynamic, poetic and most profound.

*******************************************

Enjoy . . . the music of Maluto is beautiful and relaxing . .  just as advertised and
two whole albums of it . . . These pieces are great for just listening or
using as film score or background to daily life . . . Some of the pieces
leave an uplifting sensation to the heart . . . healing and calming. Very enjoyable!

Healing the Broken Hearted . . .

The Empty Chair by Sir Samuel Luke Fildes
***************************************************
I am sharing lots of music today. I am still moved by the loss of Robin Williams . .  . still with tears standing in my eyes . . . and it gives me the feeling that I want to reach out to others and draw them into my "safe realm" somewhere in my heart . . . I wish I could fix all the sorrow and heartbreak in this world . . . I wish I could heal everyone . . . The best I can do is be a friend . . . so here . . . here is some music for you to listen to . .  enjoy!
******************************************************************

South O'Mike's Tribute to GingerTom (The "Zodiac Suite"):

*************************************************

One of my favorite artists on Jamendo is JCRZ, with music which makes you fly . . .
vibrant, or calming and spacey . . .  cool electronic music which I always picture as the color "Flaming Blue" . .
He is always generous with his music . . . lots of it on his albums and I like to just
click start and be energized.

**************************************************

Lovely and articulate . . . this music speaks to the heart.
There is a certain atmospheric quality to these works . . . gentle
yet breezy in the soul.

***************************************************

Sometimes a drone and sometimes newage; ambient and dreamy . . . but always nice
and soothing . . . great electronic sounds with a smooth flow.  This music would
be great with a science fiction story, a night under the stars . . . or a sea-side dream time.

***************************************************

This moody, emotional triphop music is quite expressive and mesmerizing.
Lots of different colors and visions in these pieces . . . I find them quite relaxing
and beautiful.

***************************************************

Beautiful!  The music had an ambient sentimental turn which
sometimes comes across as a little dramatic. These pieces would be great
as soundtrack or something to relax with while reading a book
or eating dinner or daydreaming . . .

The Dance of the Soul . . .

Andrew Wyeth - Harlequin

**************************************************

Fascinating and different with faint echoes of ethnic sounds and vocals. This is quite a pleasant little album and I definitely want to hear more from this creative artist.

****************************************************

This album has an energizing, yet relaxing flow of music which might galvanize the listener
to run with the wind, or smell the flowers . . . or fly with the angels . ..
but it definitely inspires one to be creative . . . and dream . . . The electric
guitar has a bluesy tinge and the vocals are wistful and poetic. Beautiful!

****************************************************

The heart of the seasons is Spring . . . where dreams thrive and love abounds . ..
and hope is in full bloom . . . This music has an Asian soul and flows from
dramatic and passionate to peaceful and sublime.

*****************************************************

Piano music is my heart and soul . . . The piano seems more human than any other instrument and thus when the finger stumbles or weeps . . . the piano, like a human heart, responds . . . These are lovely.

******************************************************
My friend, Ginger Tom, BELIEVES . . . and you can relate to his belief through his music. One of the most creative and emotionally vivid composers on Jamendo . . . his light will shine for a very long time. This music gives wings to the listener and it has the additional gift of being accompanied by a beautiful story . . . or is that the other way around . . . whatever . . .. You should click on the link and go read it!

Weaving . . .

A Navajo blanket weaver. 1905. Photo by Edward S. Curits. Source - National Anthropological Archives

**************************************************

Soothing, cool, and dreamy . . . this new-age music takes us on a voyage to places far away and peaceful.  These moments are tranquil and harmonious .  .  .  Cool to tone down the heat of the day . . . deep for visions and meditation.

************************

These captivating progressive pieces . . . with a powerful piano and solo male vocals are not only a pleasant listen but quite poetic. . . . the piano pounds with determination and the electronically altered voice sounds wistful and hypnotic. . . energizing and unique.

***********************

Electronic Space . ..  vivid and endless . . . Trails of light and darkness as we fly through eternity. This music flows and sparks  and gives us wings.

***********************

Very beautiful and enchanting . . . Track one was an electronic rare vision . . . dreamy and vocal as if angels were wandering over the face of the white moon . . . misty and fantastical. The last track had the honeyed approach of an acoustic guitar. . . subtle and emotional, reaching into the heart of the listener and finding home. . .  that lone guitar speaks as if rambling along a lone and dusty road . . . lost in the universe . . . music for the dying of the stars . . .

***********************

Take a dance break . . . and find your inner energies with C.J. Rogers' electric music . . . Excellently pieced together. . . . like the glories of a sunset . . . or the perpetual strength of the sea . ..  this music fills my spirit with vitality and spontaneity . .

Renewal . . .

Claude Monet Les Coquelicots
********************************************************************************

Ken Verheecke offers us a warm guitar, a dreamy rhythm, and a heartfelt melody . . . our soul is enlightened and happy as we listen . . "It's time to fly," indeed!

***************************************************

Unique and interesting . .. a type of artistic music which moves the listener to pay attention. Roberto gives us a delightful definition of music which is bright and saucy, beautiful and loquacious . . . using a mix of melodies, instruments, and styles to create a patchwork quilt of color and design . . . and leading us into visions and dreams, drawing out the creativity within us all.

**************************************************

At times eerie and unearthly . . . as if the voices of the stars or the breath of the angels came to our ears . . . simply divine . .. this album whisks the listener away into the ether where dreams are often unsettled and visions are vivid. This album by Sonus Laboratorium is creative and delightful.

**************************************************

Uplifting and beautiful . .  the warmth of the piano dances in our heart . . . a joyful contentment is present as the listener attends to this music by Spinozar.

Relaxing on a Rainy Summer Day . . .

"Looking towards Catalina"
By Sally Swatland

****************************************

Laurent's graceful guitar and Esmeralda Xha's sweet vocals, warm and soft as the down of a tiny bird, pull this album into the heavens . . . beautiful and peaceful . . .

***************************************************

Refined chill . . . long tracks, evolving into the next . . . a gentle
flow of music .. .. like the passionless waves on a peaceful pond .  . .
the incense of balm floats through the air . . .  and the sounds
of gentle drumming . . . like water lapping against the land . . .

**************************************

A voyage into the life of dreams . . . where birds go to fly and angels play . .
a place of peace and fantasy .  .  . My heart is calm . . . and my
visions lucid . . .

***************************************

Beautiful, relaxing, cool . .  like a breeze on a sultry day . . .
the bell-like sounds are uplifting and reviving of the soul, while relaxing
the body.

****************************************

Minimalistic, delicate, slow and peacefully dreamy . . . the sounds of the Universe . . .
a song of solitude . . . the drone of timelessness . .

**************************************************
