Walking in the Mist . . .

At the Oregon Coast

********************************************************************************

The kind of chill that gives you wings and frees your tears to be raindrops as you fly . . . Smooth and delicate with an inner power that fills your hollow heart with hope . . .

********************************************************************************

This is a Jamendo popular pop . . . nice electronic dubstep . . . which I am enjoying. Great vocals and flow to the music . .  uplifting and dreamy . . . these guys could be very well loved if presented on a stage . . . Wonderful!

********************************************************************************

This is quite nice for traveling music . . . or dreaming about traveling . . . where ever you wish . . . into space or down the road . ..  move your legs, or your spaceship . . . This music is chill/jazzy and very nice.

*********************************************************************************

The music, while electronic, has interesting quirks, lifts and swirls, which pulls the listener into the realm of the exotic dream . .. relaxing or adventurous . . . Peaceful and flying high. The singers leave a captivating imprint through the music and help intertwine the mental visuals with a touch of enticing sensuality . . . This music is downtempo, exotic, dreamy and compelling . . . with poetic lyrics weaving in and out of the sound stream.  The artist has left us a generous album to explore . . . allowing the music to fill our environment, guiding us in our own artistic endeavors, flowing like life through our souls . . .

********************************************************************************

Bringing original rock, to the listening ears . . . with creativity and some sense of the world lighting the way, Avi Rosenfeld has created a masterpiece . . . Loved the album cover which is a new style of presentation for this artist and his group. The album sounds professional with exceptional mastering and the wonderful music is full of life with an exciting collection of loud rocking instruments, expressive and an overall effect redolent of talent and applied knowledge. The vocals are admirably articulate, sometimes intimate in the listening ears and other times shouting, screaming from a distance.

*******************************************************************************

Un-melodic and sonorous, sizzling, glitchy . . . flowing with the ripple of bells sparkling in the deep pool of sound . . . this album is full of surprises, like a treasure box of sound . . . The elements of the tracks take the listener places . . . into the depths of a cave or the furthest galaxy . . . into the heavens or a city alley . . . echoing with lost dreams and fantasies of life . . . amazingly enticing, frightening, enjoyable, dark and bright . .  very creative!

********************************************************************************

Beautifully composed, with the warm honeyed tones of an emotional guitar predominating . . . Click on the title of the album and go to the page where there is a description of the naming and creating of this lovely little, altogether too short, album.  But, mostly, lay back and enjoy the feeling of the music, as it peacefully washes over you . . .

Relaxing on a Rainy Summer Day . . .

"Looking towards Catalina"
By Sally Swatland

****************************************

Laurent's graceful guitar and Esmeralda Xha's sweet vocals, warm and soft as the down of a tiny bird, pull this album into the heavens . . . beautiful and peaceful . . .

***************************************************

Refined chill . . . long tracks, evolving into the next . . . a gentle
flow of music .. .. like the passionless waves on a peaceful pond .  . .
the incense of balm floats through the air . . .  and the sounds
of gentle drumming . . . like water lapping against the land . . .

**************************************

A voyage into the life of dreams . . . where birds go to fly and angels play . .
a place of peace and fantasy .  .  . My heart is calm . . . and my
visions lucid . . .

***************************************

Beautiful, relaxing, cool . .  like a breeze on a sultry day . . .
the bell-like sounds are uplifting and reviving of the soul, while relaxing
the body.

****************************************

Minimalistic, delicate, slow and peacefully dreamy . . . the sounds of the Universe . . .
a song of solitude . . . the drone of timelessness . .

Bring Light to the Dark and Dreary Days and Nights . .

Hmmm . . . Strikingly beautiful album cover and lots of extraordinary, interesting, expressive music . . .
The music was creative and deep . . .

*************************************************

Beautiful, quiet, sentimental walk through the pathways of the world . . .  The guitar was mellow and the vocals were the strength of the earth, dusty and casual . .

***************************************************

I loved this spacey music . . . It took me on wild adventures . .  the vivid sounds were
exploratory and inviting which the artist created using creative experimentation.
I thought these songs reminded me of video game music and would be perfect to background
games, parties and videos . . .

*****************************************************

Sweet and beautiful, like stars in a velvet sky;
or oceans crashing with a lacy tide . . .
romantic and lively
yet light for the heart
a crystal stream runs through
washing the heaviness and sadness out . . .

******************************************************

The music is beautifully calming . . . a peaceful, uplifting flow
of good vibes and sweetly romantic sounds . . . relaxing and mildly
soporific  . . .

Music Rises Like Incense to the Heavens . . .

This album by Sarah King and Laurent Danis is beautifully put together . . . That sexy voice of Sarah's speaks for itself, drawing the listener into the sweet dreams of the lyrics . . . and the gentle music of Laurent's is the perfect embracing of such tender song . . . Overall this is an excellent album to take on a love trip . . . or enjoy during dreamy moments . . . As Sarah said, "Although they appear to be about romantic love there is a deeper spiritual element that convey my longing and union with everything. Naked for example can be taken literally or as a stripping of all the covers, emotion, personality, pride etc."

***************************************************

The first track had such a unique sound . . . not so gray, but more like leaves dancing in the sunshine making the tree branches wave to and fro . . .  and the sunlight, shifts around warming the faces
of those around . . .  I think this is one of the most interesting tracks I've heard lately . . . it entrances me . . . taking me on trips through the environments of my dreams . . . This music was like waves, traveling over my ego . . . calming my heart encouraging me . . .  and yet opening the world, an endless city full of sound . . .the eternity of space . . . A beautiful swirling of colorful gases . . . colors I have never seen . . .  a gray most sublime . . .

**************************************************

I am never, ever, disappointed in the smooth, captivating voice of PERSSON's electric guitar. This musician has a signature sound that uses some fire and energy mixed with a cool laid back bluesy feeling . . . I would call these tunes . . . hopeful blues because of the spark and lilt incorporated into the melody . . . always a HUGE pleasure to find one of his albums here.
(note: at this point the album is difficult to find and download, as there is a problem on Jamendo which they are aware of and will fix soon)

****************************************************

Yummy . ..  another delightful guitarist . ..  that first track is so captivating that you will find yourself enraptured by that stunning bluesy personality . . .. this album's music is smooth and cool in temperature and flows like spring water as it seeks the sea . ..

***************************************************

OKay! As soon as I clicked play . . . my feet started tapping and dancing so where will they take me? Away into the bright and exciting new day; into a photo album of memories; or dreams of love, and occasionally an expressive wistfulness .. . This is an excellent, rocking album; strongly reminiscent of the Beatles, with an interesting twist at every turn of the page . . . I think I was most impressed by the song: "Yug Siht" which incorporated some exciting beats and brilliantly cool energies with mysterious vocals threading in and out giving emphases to this upbeat piece   . . . I think these guys are romantic dreamers . . . putting a smile on the listener's face and a happy hope in the heart. Yvalain is known for putting together some excellent bands producing, as usual, an altogether wonderful gift!

***************************************************

Sea to Sky by Carlos Schwarz

This is a Magnatune album which has bewitched me completely . .. Since I have discovered it, I rarely pass a day without listening . . . there is something in the voice and the sweet violin which touches my heart and expands there like a tender memory or dream . . . luscious and light . .  with wings and honey. . . . . find a warmth in this music . . . where a visionary existence comforts the confounded . . .

Music for the Dreamer . . .

Tags: piano, soundtrack, beautiful, neoclassic, violins

Pianochocolate is always good for a beautiful, piano interlude . . . a dreamy day ensues as one listens and the soul flies into the indescribably beautiful heavens, past the gray clouds and the heaviness of gravity  . . . graceful and melodic . . . the dance of the angels . . . the flow of the stars in the sea . . . the glory of a smile . . .

***************************************************

Tags: happy, orchestra, moviescore, moviemusic, moviesoundtrack

and dedicated to all the birds of the world . . . Happy, whimsical, motivating and either a soundtrack or electronic game genre. I listened as I worked during my day and found that this lengthy piece had the perfect flow and tempo to generate energy and good feelings. It also generated wild imaginations regarding pirates at sea, and especially one with a parrot . . . The parrot scheming to take over the ship and treasure with the help of all the birds at sea . . . something about a zombie pirate who does his bidding (the parrot's) and the ship sails on . . . but maybe my imagined story is way too out of bounds . . . ahhrrrrr me matey, stop peckin' me with that big beak a yers . . .

I love jazz, and especially this album, yet I find myself inadequate to write a review . ..
to embellish the emotions or describe the music with flair and exactitude . . . so I leave the musician to describe his own music in his own words:

November Child is designed as a suite (not a random collection) of tunes that include composed and improvised swing jazz, blues and Latin bossa, all at a slow or moderate tempo that, combined in the order of the album, aim at leading the listener through a pattern of moods that are generally darker and more introverted, but also quite intimate. It's the time we contemplate nature shedding its coat of last season while we gather around in warm places to meet friends and family present or from the past, like authors we rediscover from their works.

Dedicated to World Peace . . . which in my opinion is possible, one human at a time . . . peace between nations, people and families .  . peace to the animals and all that grows green . . . peace to the oceans and creatures of the deep . . . peace to all things . . . straight from our heart.

The piano slid right into my heart, as I listened and was moved by the melodies of these twelve tracks. The emotions of the musician were wafted like the essence of blossoms on the winds of the environment . . . the music is calming, soothing and lovely.

Tags:  lounge, world

This piece really harmonizes with my soul as it takes me into the unknown and the deep past . . . a whirlwind of a dream as the heart ticks on and is warmed by the melody . . . Just a short little track but I enjoyed it immensely.

My Native American Playlist (from Jamendo)

******************************************************
Starting with three of my favorite songs by Zero-Project. As all his music is worthy of happy listenings, one day, I will share his widget, for a month or so, at the foot of my blog . . .  but today I am sharing Native American sounding music from off of Jamendo and my previous reviews regarding them . . ..

Zero-project, "Indian spirit (Jamendo edition)"

A very well loved album by a very popular artist:

My review, written as Orangeupurple: "Wonderful . . . I love these Native American styled songs, those powerful drums, that bird like trill with the flute, that plaintive cry, that chant, that solemn beat . . . it all fills in with a unique feeling of a tremendous connection with the land, the beauty of the land, the ancient sacredness of the land, and huge distances across time and place and between peoples . .. . It sings of freedom, love and hope . . . and an enigmatic way of life . . . It fills my heart . . . it touches my soul. And against my tear stained cheeks I feel a healing breath in the winds of these songs . ."

**********************************

zero-project, "The Great Spirit"

My previous review: "You've always got my heart when you share your Native American musics . . . deeply spiritual and emotional . . or at least to me . . this particular track is quite captivating . . .. and I think of as earthy . . . a heart beat, like distant drums echoing throughout the Universe . .. time stands still . . clouds fill my vision and I am somewhere else . . . Perhaps at the beginning of existence . . . where all things were formed . . . the sparks of my campfire leap up to dance with the stars . .. and I find that I am one with all life . ."

Out Of Orion (Ox3), "The Breath Of The Great Spirit"

Tagged as ambient, tribal, spokenword, nativeamerican, indians

What I said after I first listened: "The ambience and feelings of this album brought me into an inner vision . . . a kind of visual story . . . This Native American styled album . . . complete with perfect music and great vocals expressing various feelings and tales was simply mesmerizing . . .. This is the kind of album that causes you to close your eyes and lay back and just leave your world, traveling into another, enjoying a powerful experience of life through another's eyes. I especially loved "Lone Wolf" for reasons which escape me (No, I'm joking) . . . mainly because of the drums and also the sentiment of the poetry . . . and also perhaps because of the wolfish howling . .. "Tears of the Ancestors" was absolutely chilling . . . less Native sounding, perhaps taking us beyond this earth and into another horizon . . This was the kind of album that has an exceptional effect on me . .. the sound is stunning and the stories are presented in such a way as to give the feeling of being in the presence of a pretty good movie, play or other entertainment . . . giving me chills, or tears or a racing heart . . . I enjoyed this profound experience. edit: I swear that I could smell the smoke of the campfire . . ."

And one of my most favorite albums on Jamendo:

Randy Granger, "A Place Called Peace"

Tagged: drum, acoustic, american, indian, native, flute hang

My original review as orangeupurple: "Impossible to believe that there are these Native American sounds on Jamendo . .. I HAVE looked in the past and never found anything . . . These are beautiful and heart touching . . . a music that brings a little peace to my soul . . . simply carries me to the mountain crags and lifts me above the hurts of these grey city streets . . . the drums pulsate throughout my veins . . . revealing that road . . . through the wild places to my heart. . . yes, yes . . . the flute gives me the wings to fly, above the raining clouds. . . and the wilderness shelters me . . . and in the circle of the music . . . there is peace . . yes . . . there is peace. . ."

Morris Masters, "Late Morning Blues"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a117117/late-morning-blues

Mornings are meant to be peaceful, quiet and contemplative . . . and that's what this lovely bluesy music brings with it . . yet with a unique flavor of a style that is Morris's own (Hoping he feels better soon) . . . the guitar and vocals carry a warmth that is reminiscent of sunshine dreams and that lonely feeling of being awake late at night when no one else is there . . . there is a whisper in the air . . the voice of Morris, rough around the edges, yet full of emotion is like a moth struggling towards the light of the moon . . .

**********************************************************************

Truman, "Flying (Single)"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a117055/flying-single

Flying . .. one of my favorite occupations . . . when I am stressed and need a cool breeze under my wings, I turn to music, which lifts and inspires, like this piece . . .Beautifully constructed so as to flow and soar like a bird on the air currents . . . After listening to this, I find that I can hardly wait till the album comes out . .. This was spectacular . . . the sound of vision that grips the soul and gives it what it needs . .. .

Truman, "Dream Groove7 (Single)"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a117051/dream-groove7-single

A jazzy piano to warm your heart . . slightly offbeat, kind of avant-garde perhaps . . . I liked this personable piece . . . made me think of meandering in the beautiful N.W. of this country . . where the setting sun paints brilliant pictures against a royal blue . . and tall trees sway in the passing breezes . . .

**************************************************************

Hughs Will, "Hai Kyu"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a114513/hai-kyu

Something so beautiful, comes this way, like a rivulet on a summer's day . . The sparkling light and the cool breezes are all expressed by the flow of the piano . .
Sweet daydreams and deep slow breaths are the signs of relaxation . .. each song here, a poem . . . taking the listening mind into a vista . . the golden vision of the pianist . . . These are wonderful piano pieces . . .

************************************************************************

Laurent Danis, "Under the storm"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a117080/under-the-storm

I have been searching for peaceful music . . and found it here . . it is as if the outside world, so full of mayhem and trouble, rages on beyond an invisible shield . . . for I have shelter from the storm. The music, smooth and calm . . . at times warm, at times cool . . . fills my heart with inner peace and comfort . . . the sounds are bordering on the exotic and yet filled with the familiar . .. A Wonderful listen!
