Meditative . . . Peace!

Two of my favorite albums, in this genre, have been around for a while, with a true sense of peace and inner awareness . . . quiet spaces with a shining path to follow are the rule. There is a sense of coolness, as in the serenity of a lake, with the calm movement of a quiet breeze creating a pattern of ripples  . . . and the distant pull of celestial dreams takes the listener on a personal voyage . .

Sambodhi Prem, "Seven Waves of Knowing"
Tags: piano, newage, instrumental, ambient, meditative

Look for a review by Orangeupurple on the Jamendo page, as I will not repeat it, other than it still stands true today. This is one of the most refreshing albums I have ever listened to. One of my most favorite pieces is "Trusting The Universe," something of which we should all take heed . . . but also that one has a warm, mellow acoustic guitar which feels so good to my ears. Most of these songs are simple piano touches as if one human soul is stroking another .  .  . a rather sensual description but it does feel very personal . . . an angel's voice . . . a spiritual discourse . . . a healing peacefulness.

Anjey Satori, "Healing Sounds of Tibet"
Tags:  newage, ambient, meditative, healing, worldethnic

Probably, a better sounding version can be found on Magnatune ( http://download.magnatune.com/artists/satori ) Where there is a large abundance of this musician's music. Singing bowls, bells, angelic/monkish vocals and other Tibetan sounds are combined to induce a feeling of peacefulness and quiet. This is a wonderfully healing music, as apparently it cured Orangeupurple of a stressful headache . . . anyway that was the theme of her review. (Orangeupurple was one of my identities, but I don't always remember the circumstances of her reviews )

I am adding two more albums in this posting as I have been going back over older music which impressed me at the time and being curious about my state of mind then and now. I find these two, very relaxing and enlightening albums, to fit my mood and quest for peace as they did then AND now. ENJOY!

Project Divinity, "Dharma Beats"
Tags: world, groove, instrumental, electronic, worldfusion

Although not necessarily meditative in genre, I am including it in this batch, partly because it was recommended, on my journey and quest to find the music of my heart . . . and partly because this artist's music speaks to the soul and while being very relaxing. The major feeling, that this album projects, is contentment . . . a quiet, harmonious happiness . . .

Augenstilzchen, "Meditativum"
Tags: instrumental, nature, meditative, electroacoustic, guitar

The artist on this album uses an acoustic guitar, a soulful harmonica, nature sounds and spaces to convey it's quiet peaceful medicine . . . it is beautifully expressive while not destroying that quiet place you have built for yourself . . .

So, there is so much else out there . . . check "meditative" or "meditation" or "meditate" when you search the labels on Jamendo (you get the picture) . . . .
But as you can tell . .  I was in a great need for just that today .  .  . and I found it without any trouble . . .

Music Reviews from Early April . . .

Rune X-Natural Northern Darkness, "The return of the pagan gods (Album2013)"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a120158/the-return-of-the-pagan-gods-album2013

Although this experimental, sometimes industrial music, was dark and mysteriously moody, I found it quite brilliant and even beautiful at times . . . and as many of the compositions incorporated environmental and natural sounds . . . the music often gave me the feeling of being one with the creatures of the ocean depths, verdant forests and crystal heights and rarely . . . a head ache from hell (Stormbringer II) . . . but the solemnity of the music, especially the piano, were like slow marches of reverence . . . dreamy and deep . . . Rune painted, in shades of gray, a muted pattern of life and death . . . creation and destruction . . . yet left room for vivid images in the soul of the listener . . . *****************************************************************************************

C.J. ROGERS, "LOUNGE BOUTIQUE (vol 1)"

  http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a119270/lounge-boutique-vol1?page=2

This music has a quiet core, yet is full of brilliant flavors and ideas . . . and studded with instruments and beats that inspire awe and pleasure . . . I am sitting here, at night, listening . . . and the music pounds away at the darkness, pushing away the dread and bringing some light to the soul . . . my feet are gently tapping to the upbeat tempo . . and I know that my dreams will shine . . This album is happy-making so don't resist the temptation to listen **********************************************************************************************

MeTrónomoS, "Far away from home"

  http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a120217/far-away-from-home

Sweet and silky . . the refrain of the angels . . "Tears Shining Under The Moonlight" took my breath away . . . a delightfully balanced piece, harmonious with strings, vocals and chimes . . so healing and peaceful . . . All of the music on this album was smooth and tender with a delicate flow of well chosen beautiful instruments, voices and environmental sounds . .. The feeling is sentimental and the purpose is to calm and heal the spirit, although the emotions are deep and thick . . . This album touched a chord within my heart and I couldn't stop listening, throughout my day.

Van Syla, "It's in the Air"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a120193/it-s-in-the-air

Sometime I feel that the angels are guiding Springtime into the environment . . . little birds that sing, bright and buzzy bees . . a clearness in the air, like crystal, so rare . . . flowers that froth up over the trees and fields as if by magic . .. and skies so blue that one senses that they are glimpsing heaven . . .. . . . . that is what this music reminds me of . .. the beauty of the divine . .. The Sun's return . . .

Project Divinity, "Dharma Beats"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a120152/dharma-beats

I listened to this music into the night . . . and dreamed that I was Song . . . flowing through all the souls of existence, bringing peace and contentment like a gift . . . And the people were calm . . like still waters, sparks of light drifting deeply .. .. colors so vibrant, like liquid gold . . . and the people breathed deeply of incensed airs, sweet and redolent with love . . . and all the vibrations of all the hearts beat together as one . . . creating a music . . like this one . . Beautiful!

EIVISSA SALINAS feat. DJ HSERES, "Swell Soul in You"

Project System 12, "Nightshift"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a120032/nightshift

Electronic wonders . . . this music reverberates through my soul as I relax and listen . . . there is an upbeat nature to these delicious compositions . . . Some of the pieces, were quite striking, such as "At The Light Tower" which was a sort of flamenco . .. the Spanish guitar and the dancing sound gave vivid visions of spectacular and colorful dance . . And then the deliteful and whimsical, "Carneval Of The Butterflies" made me smile and tap my feet . . . . . . . overall and excellent album giving an afternoon of relaxing, easy listening . . .

Eion Alea, "Pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Dreams"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a120249/pilgrimage-to-the-kingdom-of-dreams

I am in awe . . of the gift of music which can take my mood and emphasize it . . . or change my perspective . . . When I am down and raw from the transitions of life, I turn to music and especially such music as this . . for this album contains the elixir of healing and peace . . . Tensions are soothed and replaced with a dreamy glow . . . and when music is so generously given . . with a creative heart reaching out to inspire others . . . it accomplishes its goal . . . and beauty transforms the world . . . bringing peace and love . . .

Vanderson, "Disintegration of Reality"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a119693/disintegration-of-reality#

It is too cheap and easy to say, "Excellent Electronica!" Which I will say, but the music was more than a series of sounds . . more like a liquid flow with brilliant sparks of light . . . a breath of fresh air . . music that makes me feel lifted and refreshed . . as if I just had a deep drink of crystal clear, icy cool well water. . .

***************************************************************************

Lusproject, "Tracks 3"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a120272/tracks-3

Twenty tracks actually . . with music that took me into space where I floated in bliss amongst the brilliant cosmos and the velvet of true blackness . . . this album is a relaxing, beautiful listen . . . I found that this music silenced the turmoil within my heart and gave me peace and pleasant
 dreams . . .

Stefano mocini, "inside"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/track/1024405/inside

I love Stefano's piano . . more than anything . . and when this started . . the tears came to my eyes as the piano gives a nice long introduction . . . this piece lifted my heart and set my wings free . . . beginning with sweetness and tenderness and ascending into a type of crescendo . . . and then evolving again into a peacefulness as if surrounded by the song of angels . . . This is an extraordinarily creative piece . . . exploring the emotions . . . reaching into the depths and flying into the heights . .. emotional and quite beautiful!

Hughs Will, "Moments of Peaces"

http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a72315/moments-of-peaces

So much piano music . . . and ALL so beautiful . . . This musical magician can sit at a piano and run his fingers over the keys, producing exquisite harmonies and melodies . .. I love improvisation because it's like poetry . . . always beautiful as it floats with unique wings from the soul of the creator into the heart of the listener . ..
