In the silence of the night, listen for the music . . .

Basically, some very nice jazzy chill . . . traditional and upbeat . . . Always love this guy's stuff.

The piano is dramatic and emotional and the vibraphone gives an uniquely lovely, light. . . . bubbles in the sky kind of music. This album is full of upbeat, expressive, dramatic and sunny sounds.

The hidden sounds at sea . . .
the shush of waves and wind and wing
and the eternal breath
of Earth as she changes form and position . . .
as the tides come and go . . .
and the seeking
of sound combs through
finding dreams in deep caverns
and the drip of water upon the foam.

These guys are spectacular with the didgeridoo and other powerful earthy sounds . . the drums and vocals of indigenous peoples . . . All their albums are excellent and this is the latest . . . ENJOY!!!

Music for the Dreamer . . .

Tags: piano, soundtrack, beautiful, neoclassic, violins

Pianochocolate is always good for a beautiful, piano interlude . . . a dreamy day ensues as one listens and the soul flies into the indescribably beautiful heavens, past the gray clouds and the heaviness of gravity  . . . graceful and melodic . . . the dance of the angels . . . the flow of the stars in the sea . . . the glory of a smile . . .

and dedicated to all the birds of the world . . . Happy, whimsical, motivating and either a soundtrack or electronic game genre. I listened as I worked during my day and found that this lengthy piece had the perfect flow and tempo to generate energy and good feelings. It also generated wild imaginations regarding pirates at sea, and especially one with a parrot . . . The parrot scheming to take over the ship and treasure with the help of all the birds at sea . . . something about a zombie pirate who does his bidding (the parrot's) and the ship sails on . . . but maybe my imagined story is way too out of bounds . . . ahhrrrrr me matey, stop peckin' me with that big beak a yers . . .

I love jazz, and especially this album, yet I find myself inadequate to write a review . ..
to embellish the emotions or describe the music with flair and exactitude . . . so I leave the musician to describe his own music in his own words:

November Child is designed as a suite (not a random collection) of tunes that include composed and improvised swing jazz, blues and Latin bossa, all at a slow or moderate tempo that, combined in the order of the album, aim at leading the listener through a pattern of moods that are generally darker and more introverted, but also quite intimate. It's the time we contemplate nature shedding its coat of last season while we gather around in warm places to meet friends and family present or from the past, like authors we rediscover from their works.

Dedicated to World Peace . . . which in my opinion is possible, one human at a time . . . peace between nations, people and families .  . peace to the animals and all that grows green . . . peace to the oceans and creatures of the deep . . . peace to all things . . . straight from our heart.

The piano slid right into my heart, as I listened and was moved by the melodies of these twelve tracks. The emotions of the musician were wafted like the essence of blossoms on the winds of the environment . . . the music is calming, soothing and lovely.

This piece really harmonizes with my soul as it takes me into the unknown and the deep past . . . a whirlwind of a dream as the heart ticks on and is warmed by the melody . . . Just a short little track but I enjoyed it immensely.

Three for Jazzy Moods . . .

Régis V. Gronoff,  "Voyageurs"

Hmmmm . . . I loved the album cover, tasteful and enticing.  The music, overall, was jazzy with a bit of country, using emotive, chatty, expressive, twangy guitars, fleeting strings, brassy notes, warm drums, and an upbeat keyboard  . . . The music was amazingly lively and gave a strong sense of happiness and joy.  There were brief fleeting moments of blue . . but the golden sunshine, of this music, warmed my heart and kept me energized. My feet kept dancing. I think my favorite track was, "Suspended Eagle," which gave me the internal vision of a soaring eagle . .  held high against a striking blue sky, above the mountain side cliffs . .  wings spread wide, feather tips ruffled by the warm breezes  . .  my heart is lifted and I too soar with the ease of angels . . . or eagles . . . Beautiful album!

SONICAWAY, "Set list"

Electronic music with differing flavors, inspiring and meditative. I must say that "Indi" grabbed my fancy, and I found myself dancing about the room . . . And "Afro" with its BIG drums and wild beat just drove me crazy  .. .. I wanted to listen to that one for hours, dancing wildly . . . my hands raised to a deep star studded night, my soul dances with the gods . . . And the jazzy goodness of "Free Jazz Shane" was so wonderful as to lighten my heart with an awesome, Asian spice which made it a not-so-average-jazzy-piece  . . . so with this bit of jazz this album joins this page. Loved this whole eclectic album.

DJ deejay, "Poets"

I loved these light, bright, jazzy tunes . . . These were long pieces . . . warm or cool, fast or slow tempo, dramatic or calm . . . yet all with inspiring emotional images. I found myself listening for ages, capturing the strong beats, the vivid sounds and turning them into energy for myself.  I loved the title of this album . . . all the music was created to honor twelve ancient poets . .. I felt inspired and motivated and delighted about the whole album.

Speaking to the Heart . . . Jazz and Guitar

Régis V. Gronoff, "A Winter in Babylon"

Jazz is one of those genres which can speak to anything . . . bringing warmth and musing to your heart, it can capture the entire range of human emotions while maintaining a bright ray of hope. This generous jazzy album, with an improvisational/funky style, reveals the core of the musician's heart as he contemplates the human condition regarding love and loss . . . An album which is a definite must for jazz aficionados . . . I think my favorite was "Back There With Miles and Trane," a track which honors two of jazz's all-time greats . . .  a very moving piece!

Quietly Concerned, "Homeless"

This stunning, debut album, has quite captivated my heart and feelings . . . regarding love, within a range of human conditions  .. .. after all .. .. aren't we, every one of us, searching for love and a place called Home . .. this quest is something that guides us and motivates us, throughout our lives . . . we search for the niche . . . that place where we know we belong, where we can reciprocate and give of our soul, and the people will love us . . . no matter what  . . . and we will love them too . . .

The singer, with his warm, mellow vocals; thoughtful and somewhat pensive at times . . the lyrics filled with meaning, compassion, and empathy,  the guitar and harmonica . . . were all so dreamy and heart touching. . . an album to be listened to over and over .  . . an album which is a gift to our hearts . . . and a music to share . . .  as we dream of a better world . ..
